The information contained herein is consistent with the aims of the Society, particularly in regard to the delivery of Geomechanics for the benefit of the Australian population.

The intent of the website is to encourage an understanding of the issues involved in the use of Landslide Risk Management (LRM) techniques, the optimum application of LRM principles in land use planning and land development, and to so empower visitors to the site with the means to advance their understanding of LRM issues, techniques, methods and their application.

The information is believed correct at the time of development of the site, and as and when the site may be updated. However, the use of this material is entirely at the discretion of visitors to the website. Should users require further advice on LRM matters, they should engage a pertinent geotechnical professional to assist them. Such persons should be appropriately experienced geotechnical engineers or engineering geologists who are familiar with slope forming processes and the application of LRM, particularly in the relevant local area.
